A real review record, not just a star count
Every review in Edushade is a full record on the reviews table — a 1–5 rating, a written body, a status, a creator, an entity type and ID, plus the usual audit fields. The same shape powers a course review, a cohort review and a learning-path review, so reporting and moderation work the same everywhere.

Moderation that fits a real classroom
Learner submissions land as pending. Admins move them to active to publish on the public site, or to archived to retire without losing the record. When a learner edits their own review, the status drops back to pending — so a quiet rewrite still gets a second look. Admins create reviews on behalf when needed, and those go straight to active.

Notifications that close the loop with the instructor
When a new review lands, the instructor gets a notification on every channel they have on — in-app, email, SMS and push — with the rating, the reviewer and a preview of the body. When the instructor responds, the learner gets the same. No external integration, no extra service to wire up; the templates ship with the platform.

Turn ratings into a satisfaction signal
Reviews are not just a leaderboard. The platform aggregates the same data into an average rating, a current-month vs previous-month rating growth, a six-month satisfaction line, a batch-ratings API for any 1,000 entities at once, and a per-program rating + total-reviews count on every course card. Every chart pulls from the same reviews table, so the numbers always agree.

From first rating to a moderated, public review
Every step lives inside Edushade — a learner submits, an admin moderates from the program's Reviews tab, and the rating flows straight into the course card and the satisfaction dashboard.
Learner writes the review
On the course, path, cohort, event or quiz they are enrolled in, the learner picks a star rating and writes a review. One review per learner per entity. The submission lands as pending.
Admin moderates from the Reviews tab
Open the program's Reviews tab in the admin. Each row shows the reviewer, the rating, the status badge and the comment. Move a review to active to publish, archived to retire, or edit the body and rating in place.
Rating shows up everywhere it counts
The active review is visible on the public program page, the instructor gets a review.received notification, and the rating + total count flow into the satisfaction dashboard, the program card and the batch-ratings API automatically.
